Title: Bist Du Bei Mir
Pairing: Peter/Ulrich (Pete Wentz/Patrick Stump)
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Ulrich is studying to be a monk in a small town in 1700s Germany. Peter has just returned from university. AU, obviously.
Length: 7700 words, which makes this the longest thing I've written. I'm concise, what can I say?
Author's Notes: Patrick's name is Ulrich in this fic. It's... kind of a long story, and it involves boredom and library catalogs, but, um, yes. Ulrich Stumph. It's also got questionable historical accuracy, and dubious research. Peter's poetry belongs to Goethe. The meteor shower is the Lyrids, which were only definitively identified in the 1830s: Peter is ahead of his time.
Thanks: to [info]giddygeek for an unparalleled beta, and to [info]loveyouallwrong for both beta and audiencing above and beyond the call of duty. I love you so much, guys. All errors are entirely mine.

The first time Ulrich saw Peter Wentz after he came home from Tübingen, he had just finished punching him in the face. )

So I got a Chicago VIP ticket to see Ryan Rossy and Greta of my heart, which is mildly hilarious in that I don't actually know that I will be in Chicago on May 23! Ahahaha, um. I... I don't know. I guess it will all work out somehow. My bank account is what you might call "fucked" but I don't even care. Well, I care a little. Paycheck, where are youuuu? Although the company I rent my apartment from has apparently decided to smile down upon my support of ridiculous hippies by deciding a) not to require a security deposit any longer and b) to apply the security deposits they've already gotten from us towards rent for February. I don't have to pay rent this month! Have you ever heard of such a thing? Me neither, but I'm not questioning my good luck. \o/

I'm not even kidding with how much I loooove this baaaand, though. THEIR TINY FACES. THE ROSSOTONE! And I think that it was WELL WORTH the price of my box set just to refresh the PATD comments and watch people lose their actual shit. My favorite was when someone asked "raise your hand if you got one" and someone else replied "RAISE YOUR HAND AND I'LL SNAP IT OFF." Ahahahahahahahaha! This is why bandom is my favorite, you guys. I never stayed up for hours throwing pillows at my laptop for any of my TV or book fandoms. YESSSS.

Oh my god, I'm so sick, though. I slept all day and woke up in a panic (HA) at 5:03 PM emailing Allison to see if she got me a ticket or if I was supposed to get one myself or what.

oh my god oh my god

Oh hey guys, what's up? What's new? Not much is new with me except for how [info]longtime_lurker wrote the mpreg fic OF MY SOUL. OH MY GOD. OHHHHH MY GOD. ASDFJALSDIFNAQW READ IT.
babybabybabybabybaby

In other news, I think I'm going to be going up to the Cobra show in Massachusetts! If anyone has or knows of a way I can also get tickets to the early show in Cambridge or the one in Connecticut, that would be amaaazing. (I know the site says they aren't sold out in Cambridge; the site LIES.)

Patrick Stump is so dreamy you guys

Dudes, if you haven't heard this radio interview PStump did before Law & Order aired, go listen. Oh my God, I keep thinking I will hit the upper limits of my love for him, and it doesn't happen evvvvvver.

  1. [info]gigantic said just about everything I wanted to say about the Brendon drama already, so yay, that saves me some typing.

  2. Despite being pretty weirded out that apparently my last entry is showing up on the first page of Google results for "Tom Conrad livejournal" and the second page for "Tom Conrad fanfiction," I'm not turning off Google indexing. )

  3. I have a new layout! I suddenly wanted one. )

  4. A secret message to someone who might be reading this:
and then they went on to say that the Pearly Gates
    have such eloquent graffiti
like: “we'll meet again” and “fuck the Man”
and “tell my mother not to worry”

  5. I'm so greedy for new canon. I can't believe I used to be in fandoms where canon was an hour long once a week for 22 weeks. How did I even handle that?

  6. Wait, I have one thing left to say about Brendon, I'm sorry. )

  7. Oh my God, surely I have something less controversial to say. Ummmmmm. I CHANGED MY PROFILE LAYOUT TOO, GUYS.

  8. OH HEY, wait, I do have something cool to tell you! My bff went to the Dresden Dolls concert. )

Just beautiful

Okay, so I know I shouldn't find this as funny as I seriously do, because, yes, fourth wall violation and everything. Actually, I'll cut it, because I'm sure people will be squicked. BEHIND THIS CUT, THERE IS NO FOURTH WALL. I AM NOT KIDDING. )

In other news, this is my 350th post. That is 345 more posts than I ever thought I'd make!

ETA: In other other news, I am turning off custom comment pages, because a) people hate them and b) this way I can use my thread unfolder! Everybody wins!

I LOVE THEIR FUCKING FACES.

(We're so starving? Are you kidding me with this nonsense? I will buy you one million nachos, Ryan Ross.)

(Ahahahahaha when I clicked on it the first time, it had 250 plays. I just checked again, and it's at... 1595.)

  1. I'll tell you what I love about Lupe Fiasco, besides EVERYTHING: I love the way he talks about women in his lyrics. )

  2. SO on a totally different, but still music-related, note, last night I went to this hilariously tiny and wretched bar in Trenton. ) I think my favorite part of the night was GABE SAPORTA REINCARNATED. )

  3. And then we came home and Rachel made me watch Release the Bats and told me which parts had vomiting so I could look away. Some observations behind the cut. )

  4. I bought the MSI live DVD this morning. )

  5. I'm really psyched to meet more Jersey-area fangirls. )

  6. My New Year's Resolution is to stop making LJ posts in list form.

  7. ETA: COBRA STARSHIP SHUT YOUR FUCKING FACES. YOU TOO, GUY RIPLEY. How did I never realize before that they would make the most amazing reality show participants in the universe? Wow I love them kind of ridiculously.
pete grin
I slept from 8:30 PM last night through to 2:00 PM today.

So the recent anonymeme was that classic mixture of "lulzy" and "OMG SOMEONE HOLD MY PURSE WHILE I FIGHT A BITCH VICKY-T DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A MAN." My actual favorite comment of the entire thing happened on the very first page, and this is what it said:
Ray has horrible thighs and shows them off too much. He thinks he's so great.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH MY GOD AMAZING. Ray Toro: Virgin Who Can't Drive is only a logical extension of this hilarious thought. You think you're too cool for school, Ray Toro, but I've got news for you: YOU AREN'T!!

(Anyone who comments on CERTAIN FAILURES of mine in said anonymeme is going to make me cry so you know, you have that on your conscience. At least I deleted the first one before anyone saw it oh goddd. AT LEAST RACHEL UNDERSTANDS ME.)

Tonight I'm going to have a sleeeeeepover with [info]quettaser! Get jealous.

I am so absurdly charmed by Pete Wentz trying to figure out how to make a heart-shaped hickey for the past 15 years of his life. UGH SHUT THE FUCK UP ILU.

My New Year's resolution is to post more about my own life and less about Pete Wentz's. This may make my journal even more boring than it already is. My other New Year's resolution is to write a Greta/Gabe manifesto, unless [info]shoemaster gets off her ass and does it first. They've never met, you say? DO YOU THINK THIS WILL STOP ME? (Answer: no, no it will not.) IN CONCLUSION:
"One of my favorite compliments that I'll get is 'Oh yeah, fuck Pete, you're the thing, you're the star.' I'm like 'Dude, that's my best friend, what the fuck are you talking about? That's not a compliment to me. That offends me. You just put him down.'"

ETA: I'm just going to post some pictures that are amazing for the next twenty minutes. )
protection from evil
  1. It continues to enrage and distress me that I won't be able to watch Patrick Stump in his small-screen debut. Whyyyy did I buy those tickets for January 2nd? WHY?

  2. So this makes me feel really guilty in that I am POSITIVE thousands of amazing fics have been posted in the last three days and I haven't read them, but I did read this: Patricksitting (Call It A Love Song) which is good. )

  3. I got iPod speakers for Christmas! Hooray! Also, two nearly-identical pairs of red fuzzy pants, because my mother and my sister-in-law aren't very good at coordinating their gift-giving.

  4. I also got Christmas cards from [info]sparktastic and [info]mrsronweasley and oh shit, definitely other people, but I don't know where I put them. CRAP. I suck at life. If you sent me a Christmas card, I love you a LOT, even if I, uh. Can't name you at this precise moment.

  5. I can has a [info]quettaser tomorrow and Saturday and a [info]helleboredoll next week and a [info]greyandgrey sometime soon and Cobras in January and Marty Dressler in LESS THAN A WEEK.

  6. I got the Jens Lekman album for Christmas, too, and I don't know how I feel about it quite yet, but here it is, if you're interested! This is the one Ryland has been reccing from here to kingdom come, so hey, worth a listen.

  7. Another thing that's worth a listen: Baby, It's Cold Outside, performed by Greta Salpeter and Thomas Dutton. WHAT HAS HAPPENED HERE!? )

  8. Less than a week before this unprintable year is over. Oh my Jesus, I don't think I can convey in mere words how ready I am.
tree fall
  1. Overheard In New York, you do continue to bring the lulz. Oh, Brendon.

  2. I have the most horrible and overwhelming urge to write fic where a band boy bodyswaps with a fangirl. )

  3. I have at long last reached the point of having a Last.FM that reflects my taste enough to make the recommendations feature useful, which is pretty cool and I'm enjoying it.

  4. My Christmas so far has been, to be totally honest, stressful. But stressful mixed with nice bits. )

  5. I didn't get it together to send the family Christmas card to anyone this year, but this is what it looked like. ) Awwwwwww, my family. ♥
pete/patrick
So I was going through old email drafts in my gmail account, because I wanted to clear things out and apply pretty labels where they belonged, and I found this random Fraser/Kowalski porn snippet. )

I have NO MEMORY of writing this, but it was all coded and everything. I guess I was writing ball-gag porn in May of 2006! APPARENTLY. WHO KNEW.

In other news, the new Lupe Fiasco album is AMAZING. Seriously, I've been listening to it all morning and I'm pretty much in love. I vote that when someone finally writes the long-awaited and incredibly necessary Patrick Stump Does Hip-Hop fic (Patrick/Kanye! Patrick/Rihanna! Patrick/?uestlove!) that there be an extensive Lupe section.

IN OTHER OTHER NEWS, Marty Dressler is coming to our screens JANUARY SECOND. + more bandom blather )

So, I'm following this Panic! website thing with avid interest. Their site has been replaced by a blank page, but if you check the source code, you get this:

<!--
Oh, hello
Glad you could make it
Did you have any trouble finding the place?
Hope you enjoy
-->

There's been a new line added every day; the first time I checked it just said "Oh, hello". They also got rid of all the graphics on their MySpace, and put out a MySpace bulletin with the subject line "Oh, hello" which contained only this image and the words "and so it begins..." linking to their website.

I AM INTRIGUED. Ryan Ross, your wacky viral marketing thingy is working. I've been looking for hidden directories and stuff, but so far, nothing. Hmmmmmm!

ETA: Lolz also, I forgot to say:
"Nine in the Afternoon," which the band road-tested on summer gigs, is about "all of the things you get caught up in while you're in a band ... then coming back and realizing that it's just fun making music with your four best friends," Ross says.
OH RYRO, TOO STONED TO COUNT. ♥ ♥ Or else he is his own best friend. ♥ ♥ ♥

ETA2: EEEEEEEEEE FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS. "You don't have to worry"?
